This project is a personal research about the human's observation abilities and senses around the people we know compared to our consciousness about strangers. More than 80 participants from different locations around the globe were asked to complete an online survey about “their favorite human being”. The form could be completed anonymously, and included from really broad questions such as “what’s your relationship with this person?” to very specific questions such as “what perfume does he/she wear?” The participants were asked to answer the questions based on their memory and knowledge, trying not too look at their favorite person while they were completing the form, neither ask them for the right answers. In order to find out at what level our attention can get around the people we love the most, “A Detailed Observation” encouraged each participant to be as specific as possible, and focused on the small details. The online survey was followed by the making of a printed excerpt of each of the submitted forms, which included the most memorable, detailed, and interesting sections of each description.
