Lydia's Bridge from Sharon Romang on Vimeo.

There have been many reports since 1923 of car drivers picking up a young woman in an evening dress along US Highway 70. The driver, who is frequently male and alone in the car, spots her walking along the road and stops to help her. She would usually give her name as Lydia and an address to her home. Once the driver arrives at the address, he goes around the car to open her door only to find she has disappeared. The driver then goes to the door of the house and proceeds to knock in an effort to make sure the young lady is safe inside, since she had almost in front of his eyes. Then, an elderly woman opens the door and explains to the person that Lydia had died in a car accident several years ago.
